Our names are Mike and Amy Jorgenson and we host, annually the Stone Creek Music Jamboree and Minnesota’s Largest Pot Luck, at our farm in rural Montevideo, MN. We had nearly 2000 people attend our venue last year and are looking for many more in 2008. The date of our event is August 23rd, 2008 (always the weekend before Labor Day).
Our feature entertainers this year are Juice Newton, Janie Fricke, & Lacy J Dalton. The Great Pretenders will be performing great rock’n to the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Brothers 2 + 2 hailing from Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, SD and Chicago, Il, will also take the stage to entertain in their Old country rock, bluegrass, style, along with a few surprise guests. Bringing back the memory of Elvis, singing a host of his classics will be the renowned Sonny “Elvis” Pearson. Appearing for the appetite for those that love a wide variety of styles, from country, big band and 50’s, to old-time waltzes & polkas, will be Julie Lee & The White Rose Band. Boasting in nothing but the best in old time polka & waltz music will be local artists, Palmer Aaberg, & Vernon Lund, to tempt your feet into dancing a waltz or a polka. Joining them on stage will be The Robert Bunn Band. Playing on the second stage will be Pure Country from 12 noon – 2:00 pm.
Two stages of entertainment will be going on all day from 11:00 am until approximately 9:00 pm, finishing the night and lighting your way to your car will be an outstanding fireworks display to conclude our "Day of Freedom". This event is free and open to the public, alcohol free, & the show will go on, rain or shine, as we have everything protected, under tents or inside.
We have something for everyone. (even underground tunnels for the kids to enjoy) We have a chipping contest on our golf greens going on in the afternoon for everyone to also join in, free of charge. We will have train rides happening throughout the day to tour our bird and nature trail. Free face painting will be going on all day too!

We will be paying tribute to our Veterans during the show in the afternoon between 3:45 – 5:00. |
Our venue is completely handicap accessible, handicap seating is available, as well as parking. We will provide rides for everyone that may have trouble getting to the tents from their cars and we always have helpers under and around the tents for all that need any kind of assistance. As you see, we do not want to leave anyone out of a day of free fun. The more the merrier they say!!!! Bus and van rides are available from our parking lots for all to take advantage.
All anyone needs to bring to this event is a dish to pass for Minnesota’s Largest Potluck and a lawn chair to sit back and relax and enjoy the show absolutely free of charge! New this year, we are also asking you to bring along your favorite recipe to be entered into our annual cook book. We had 902 dishes of food last year! Bring your family, friends, a dish of food, along with a foot to tap along with the music and be a part of our "Day of Freedom"
